PRESENTATION OF CLASS SHOVEL.

In accordance with the precedent set by those who have left this hall of learning before us, as president of the gradu¬ating class, I present to the president of the Junior Class this shovel, which has taken part in many an Arbor Day program. May you, in using it, add another set of class colors to its adornment and thus in your turn pass on the happy custom to the class which succeeds you.
DAVID WARD WHITE.

ACCEPTANCE OF CLASS SHOVEL.

Mr. President: I, as President of the Junior Class, wish to say that I consider it a great honor to be presented with this shovel, which from year to year has been passed down from the Senior Class to the Junior Class. I now thank you most heartily for this gift and I shall see to it that it is properly taken care of and used in the traditional manner.
MARION FRANCES EATON.
President, Junior Class.

PRESENTATION OF CLASS GIFT.

Four years of combined work and pleasure have brought us to this graduation time. Indeed, it is with some little regret that we leave this institution of learning which has done so much towards preparing us for greater problems which we are to meet in life.

As a small token of our esteem and gratitude, we take great pleasure in presenting to the school through Doctor Dawson, our principal, a flag to be carried in parades during the future years.
DAVID WARD WHITE.
