ATHLETICS

The baseball season just completed, in one way might be called a failure, but such as it was, it proved to be far better than predicted at the beginning of the season.

Captain Brown and several of the best men have enlisted in the Federal Service, and are doing their best to help America win.

Joseph Luinn, who managed the team, and Coach Schmidt deserve the Highest praise for the work they have done in or¬ganizing and keeping the team together and upholding the honor of the school in this branch of athletics.

FOOTBALL.

We had a wonderful football team last season, which lost but one out of seven games, and as a lot of good material is still in school, next year's prospects are very bright. The re¬sults are as follows:

TRACK

Nothing was done about track this season as the captain left school and Mgr. Fleck joined the army, but it is to be hoped that next year this splendid sport will be more closely followed up than heretofore by the athletes of N. F. H. S. You who will be here next year, should try to revive the old track meets and cross-country runs of the past.
