Information for Passengers
BAGGAGE.
A
coat room is provided on the Main deck, where passengers can check their small
valises, parcels, coats, umbrellas, etc., and have them cared for free of
charge.
Baggage will not be put off at any landing unless claimed and
checked by owner.
Passengers holding or purchasing tickets over connecting railroads
can have their baggage checked through to destination by applying to the
Baggage Master.
Baggage cannot be checked to a point short of destination of
ticket, except on unlimited tickets and tourist tickets at points where
stop-over is allowed.
Passengers are requested to claim their baggage upon its arrival
at landings.
This Company does not hold itself liable for loss or damage to
baggage after sufficient time has been allowed for its removal.
If not removed within twenty-four hours,
storage will be charged on each piece at the following rates: First twenty-four
hours, free; second twenty-four hours or fraction thereof, twenty-five cents;
and for each additional twenty-four hours or fraction thereof, ten cents.
A
charge of fifty cents each is made on baby carriages.
Dogs will not be taken unless in crates; then a charge of
half-fare will be made. Crates can be obtained on board steamer.
Each steamer has well-equipped, sanitary barber shop for the
convenience of its patrons.
The steamers of this line, being designed for day service only,
have no staterooms, and there is no accommodation for passengers wishing to
remain on board over night. On each steamer there are a few private parlors,
for which a charge of $5 and $6 each is made. Owing to the limited number of
these rooms they are not considered engaged unless paid for at the time
reservation is made.

Views, papers, periodicals, etc., can be
purchased at the news stand in the after saloon on the promenade deck.
WRITING ROOM.
A well appointed Writing Room is provided
on each steamer, where stationery and private mailing cards are furnished to
passengers without cost. A competent stenographer is in attendance between New
York and Poughkeepsie.
RESTAURANT AND
LUNCH ROOM.
Meals are served a la carte at all hours in the Restaurant
on the Main deck aft. Table d'hote breakfast at seventy-five cents, until 9.30
a. m., also table d'hote dinner at one dollar each, between the hours of 11.00
a. m. and 3 p.m.
Huyler's and Ridley's candies, coffee,
sandwiches, fruits, pastry, soda water, etc., can be obtained during the day at
the Lunch room; entrance by stairway from the Main deck forward.
Filtered water only is used for drinking
and cooking purposes.
NEWBURGH EXCURSIONISTS
Wishing to extend their trip to Poughkeepsie,
where connection is made with the southbound boat, can, upon payment of fifty
cents, have their excursion tickets exchanged at the Purser's office.
SMOKING IS
NOT PERMITTED.
On Promenade (second) deck, either in the
saloons, or on deck, but it is allowed on the Hurricane deck and on the Main
deck, except near the Dining Saloon.
BROOKLYN
PASSENGERS.
On arrival of the thru boat at Desbrosses
Street Pier, passengers for Brooklyn will take the Annex at the forward
gangway.

To trace the beauty of the river, and note
the historic scenes daily traversed by the "Hendrick Hudson,"
"Robert Fulton" and "Albany," procure the "Panorama
of the Hudson" at the news stand on each steamer, which not only furnishes
a complete guide of the journey, but also a delightful souvenir of the most
charming trip in the world.
SEASON CLOSES.
The last trips for the season of 1910 will
be made from New York Oct. 22 and from Albany Oct. 24.
