Hudson River Timetable

Hudson River by Daylight

NOTICE.-This time table shows the time at which steamers may be expected to arrive and leave from the several landings, but their arriving or leaving at the time shown is not guaranteed. The time of all connecting lines is shown only for the convenience of the public, and every care is taken to keep it correct, but this company will not be responsible for errors or changes that may occur.

POUGHKEEPSIE,  NEWBURGH AND WEST POINT STOP-OVERS.

On and after June 27th and until Sept. 17th passengers on the thru down boat may, by applying at the Purser's Office, obtain a stop-over for Poughkeepsie, Newburgh or West Point, which will give them nearly three hours at either place. They may then go down on the evening boat, Steamer "Albany," and enjoy a most picturesque sail in the sunset and twilight and arrive in New York at 8:40 p. m.

The time between boats will be ample at Poughkeepsie for a visit to Vassar College; at Newburgh to visit Washington's Headquarters or go up Mount Beacon; and at West Point the time can be most pleasantly

and profitably employed in inspecting this great Military Academy and Post, which without doubt has no equal in the world. The Government is now spending $5,500,000 here in enlarging, rebuilding and rearranging the entire Post, and the greatest care is being exercised that every added structure shall not only harmonize with but really add to the wonderful natural beauty of the location.

HIS FEELINGS.

Lady (to tramp)-You can have something to eat if you'll work for it.

Tramp (with extreme dignity)-Madam, would you ask me to stultify myself?
