Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center

The Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, opened in 1925 on a 20-acre plot, was the first such center in the country. It remains one of the most famous and best equipped. It is composed of several independent units including the Columbia University Medical and Dental Group, the Presbyterian Hospital Group, the Babies Hospital, the Neurological Institute, and the New York State Psychiatric Institute and Hospital.
